Yorùbá entrepreneurial practice underscores the importance of communal cooperation and reflects deep-rooted values of solidarity and mutual aid. Yorùbá culture is rich in crafts, fashion, music, storytelling, myth making and culinary traditions amongst others, all of which have strong entrepreneurial potential.
The J.Randle Centre will both provide a marketplace for creative entrepreneurs, as well as support the economic growth of Yorùbá-inspired businesses by offering training, mentorship, and market opportunities. With workshops and seminars on cultural products development, business administration, branding, marketing, packaging and exportation, the centre encourages local enterprise and helps Lagos’ creatives connect their heritage with entrepreneurial pursuits
